Answers to common questions
Does Appearperhaps Tree Service remove trees itself?
No. Connector, not contractor. Appearperhaps Tree Service is a referral service. We do not climb, cut, or haul anything. First, you tell us about your tree. Next, we connect you with an independent provider in our network. Then you and the provider agree on the scope, price, and schedule directly. The provider does all the work and is responsible for it.
What should I do if a tree falls on my house?
First, get everyone to a safe spot and stay out of the damaged area. Next, stay far away from any downed power lines and report them to the utility. Then call a local provider about removal. Take photos from a safe distance. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy and ask the provider about documenting it.
How much does tree removal usually cost?
Prices vary a lot by job. Typical U.S. ranges run from a few hundred dollars for a small tree to several thousand for a large or hard-to-reach one. Height, trunk width, location, and cleanup all matter. Storm work and crane use can cost more. Always ask each provider for a written quote before you agree to anything.
How do I know if a tree is dangerous?
Look for leaning that is new, large dead limbs, cracks in the trunk, mushrooms at the base, or roots lifting the soil. After a storm, check again. Trees near a roof, driveway, or power line need extra care. A local provider can inspect it and tell you if removal makes sense.
How quickly can a provider come out?
It depends on the provider and the season. Many providers can respond quickly, but busy storm weeks can mean a wait. Request a callback to check provider availability. Or send the request form and share any urgent details, like a tree on the roof.
Is stump grinding included when the tree comes down?
Not always. Some providers include it, and many price it as a separate step. Ask for it to be listed on the written quote. Grinding removes the stump below ground level, so you can plant grass or build over the spot. Roots may still remain deeper down. Ask the provider what they leave behind and how deep they grind.
Can the work fit around my family's schedule?
Often, yes. Plan around home life. When you talk to the provider, share school runs, work hours, nap times, and pets. Ask for a start window and a rough length of the job. Most removals take part of a day, but big trees take longer. Moving cars and patio items beforehand keeps the day calmer.
What should I ask a provider before I say yes?
Use this short checklist. First, ask if they carry liability insurance and workers' coverage, and request proof. Next, ask what the quote includes: cutting, hauling, cleanup, and stump work. Then ask about start dates and how they protect roofs, fences, and lawns. Get everything in writing. Appearperhaps Tree Service does not set prices or terms, so confirm each detail with the provider.
